Velkan Valerious

Velkan Valerious a fictional character who appears in the movie "Van Helsing". He is portrayed by Will Kemp.

Origins

Velkan Valerious is a prince to a Gypsy clan and is the Brother of Anna Valerious. His ancestor had promised that his family would not rest or enter Heaven until Count Dracula was destroyed. Velkan and Anna are the last of their family and have been trying to rid their land of Dracula for the past year, upon which their father has also disappeared. One day, Velkan is trying to capture the Wolf Man but is either bitten or scratched as it isn't shown. However, he is able to kill the Wolf Man. Anna begins to believe her brother is dead but one night he returns to their house. He tries to reveal Dracula's secret to Anna but changes into a werewolf before he can finish talking. Van Helsing begins to hunt the werewolf but Anna stops Van Helsing from shooting her brother. Upon returning to Dracula's castle, Velkan learns that his father has been killed because Dracula tried to use him to bring his children to life. After learning of this, Dracula then decides to use him to bring his children to life. Velkan proves to be insufficient but is sent to kill Anna and Van Helsing. During his last confrontation with Van Helsing, Velkan is shot with silver bullets but manages to bite Van Helsing and pass on the curse before dying.

Powers and Abilities

Before becoming a werewolf, Velkan proved to be very agile and skilled. After becoming a werewolf, his agility and senses more than likely increased beyond usual.
