The Japanese Popstars are a electronic dance act from Derry, Ireland.

Founded after a number of drunken discussions and attendance of a number of large music festivals, such as Oxegen and Glastonbury, the three DJ's collaborated. Each DJ has his own alias. The act was nominated for "Best House DJs" at the 2006 World Urban Music Awards, "Best Live Performance" at the 2007 Northern Ireland Dance Music Awards and have won "BEST LIVE ACT 2008" @ Irish Dance Music Awards.

The Japanese Popstars have been tipped for the ones to watch by major administrators in the music industry and Mixmag have also stated that they are "They Might Also Be The Most Exciting New Electronic Act On The Planet".
