cities = The Knight Reservoir lies to the west of theBessborough Reservoir , south of theRiver Thames and the A3050. The neighbouring town isMolesey .The Knight and Bessborough Reservoirs were built by the
Southwark and Vauxhall Waterworks Company , whose works were across the river at Hampton. Work began in 1898 on the site of an old mansion called Apps Court, and the reservoirs opened in 1907. They have a combined area of 125.5 acres and hold 1,198 million gallons.
