Maharastra Ekikaran Samithi

Maharstra Ekikaran Samithi (Marathi: महाराष्ट्र एकीकरण समिती, MES) is a regional party in Belgaum (Belgaon) and established for a struggle to merge Belgaum (Belgaon) to Maharastra. Until the 1980s MES was very powerful in Belgaum, but due to the entry of Shiv Sena in Belgaum politics its power has been reduced dractically.

MES is conteting corporation election, but chances are very less for MES to win this election because of the restructuring of wards and only one candidate from Kannadigas. This will prove the growing population of Kannada and increased influence of Karnataka government in Belgaon.
