Note: Upon the completion of the new Petal Primary School (scheduled to open for the 2008-2009 school year), the following changes will be made to the school structure:
*Petal High School - no changes (9-12).
*Petal Middle School - 6th grade will move to W.L. Smith, school will become 7th & 8th grades only.
*W.L. Smith (upper elementary) - 5th & 6th grades.
*Petal Elementary School - 3rd & 4th grades will move here from Smith.
*Petal Primary School (new) - Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
