Transient evidence

Transient evidence is evidence that has no meaning or is so false it is easy to see through it. Transient evidence may be lost a short period of time after the crime took place. ["SUPPORT CENTER PORTSMOUTH INSTRUCTION 5100.5A." U.S. Department of Transportation. 10 November 1994.
