Rocco Palmo

Rocco Palmo (born 1983) is a Catholic writer, columnist, and commentator living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He writes for the London-based Catholic weekly, The Tablet, and contributes a regular column to the online magazine Busted Halo.cite web | title=Blogger: User Profile: Rocco Palmo| work=Rocco Palmo| url=http://www2.blogger.com/profile/17672864588299796053 | accessdate=2007-03-21] He also writes a popular blog, Whispers in the Loggia, focused primarily on Catholic ecclesiastical happenings in North America. Palmo's popularity is due in no small part to his sources and connections within the Catholic hierarchy.

His success as a Catholic commentator is particularly remarkable because of his age; Palmo is in his mid-twenties. He describes his average day as "I’m up by 6:30 in the morning to get the Vatican’s daily press bulletin, and from there it’s like the green flag and I just start going through emails, and the news. The phone will ring invariably throughout the day, whether it be the press seeking interviews or sources checking in. There’s no typical day. The most typical thing about it is that at 7am I’ll say to myself, 'You really have to get out today' and then I look up [and the day is nearly over] ".
