Gloria Randle Scott (born Gloria Dean on
April 14 ,1938 inHouston, Texas ) is an American educator and the first African-American to head theGirl Scouts of the USA .She was born and raised in
Texas and was the first African-American to get a degree inzoology fromIndiana University in 1959 and her Ph.D. in Higher Education also from Indiana in 1965.
