Giuseppe Badaracco (1588-1657) was an Italian painter of the
Baroque period. Born inGenoa , where he mainly painted. Also called "Il Sordo" (the deaf). He trained withBernardo Strozzi , thenGiovanni Andrea Ansaldo in Genoa, and worked for some years inFlorence . One of his pupils was his sonGiovanni Raffaello Badaracco . He died from the plague.References
