KlingStubbins is an
architectural , engineering, interior, and planning firm based inPhiladelphia , Pennsylvania. Kling's firm was founded in 1946 byVincent Kling ,FAIA , and had grown to become the largest architecture firm inPhiladelphia , and one of the largest in the world. The Stubbins Group was founded byHugh A. Stubbins , FAIA, in1949 . In January 2007 Kling and Stubbins merged to form "KlingStubbins." Kling's expertise was in research labs and commercial space, but it had designed projects in a large variety of building types and uses. Originally established solely as an architecture firm, the company has grown over the years to include
engineering ,interior design ,landscape architecture , and several branch offices in other cities. In 1969, the firm brought engineers into its office, and by 1986 had become a full-service A/E firm, then called The Kling-Lindquist Partnership, Inc. 1996 saw the opening of the firm's first satellite office in Washington, D.C., with later offices added in Raleigh, North Carolina and San Francisco. Kling became affiliated with the Boston based architecture firmStubbins Associates in 2003.
