John Bahnsen

John Bahnsen

John C. "Doc" Bahnsen (born November 1934) is a retired Army Brigadier General. He served two combat tours in Vietnam and emerged as on of the most decorated officers of the war. He attended the United States Military Academy and graduated in 1956.

Major General George S. Patton praised him as the best, most highly motivated and professionally competent combat leader he had ever served with.
