Roman Abramovich , 16th wealthiest man on the planet. She was formerly Irina Malandina before the marriage in 1991. She is sometimes referred to in Russian newspaper profiles as "zolotaya kletka"- (gilded cage) - in reference to her privileged yet constrained existence, and is reported to speak good English. Her upbringing was humble, her parents waited on tables in Russia, but unfortunately her father died in an accident when she was two years old. Irina's mother worked long hours after this to support the family.Irina studied at Moscow State University, specializing in fine arts, and then with the help of her aunt was able to get a job as an airline stewardess at
