The game is based on the comic book series Asterix, and is part of a series of games based on this license. This game was only made available in PAL format due to its exclusive European release.

Gameplay

You play as "Asterix" in standard platforming form, and must progress through several levels while battling with various enemies. The ultimate goal is to rescue your friend "Obelix" who is being held captive by Caesar, and is in danger of being thrown to the lions. As such is the case, your enemies include Romans, but also the genre classic agitated animals.
