Institute at Baruch College founded with the support of Bernard L. Schwartz in 1997 and dedicated to helping faculty integrate communication-intensive activities into course curricula. Sponsors an annual Symposium on Communication and Communication-Intensive Instruction. Operates under the office of the Provost.
Baruch College received the 2008 Theodore M. Hesburgh Award for outstanding faculty development programs presented by the TIAA-CREF Institute in recognition of the Schwartz Institute's work with Baruch's faculty.
