Peter Mosely

Peter Mosely

Peter Michael Mosely (born June 6, 1980) composed of the bass, keyboard, and backing vocals of the Alternative/Punk Rock band Yellowcard. He also plays guitar, keyboards and sings vocals in Inspection 12.

Inspection 12

On December 1995, Pete was added as the fourth member in Inspection 12 as second guitar and vocals. His first show with the band was at a friend's backyard birthday party. Due to the fact that he didn't know any Inspection 12 songs, he only played the cover section, playing songs by NoFX and Weezer.

Yellowcard

In 2002, Yellowcard's first bass player, Warren Cooke, left the band due to personal reasons. The band then asked an old friend, Pete Mosely from Inspection 12, to play bass for them.

During the recording of Ocean Avenue, Pete left, citing personal problems. The band began the search again for a new bass player and found Alex Lewis. In the middle of the band's tour in support of Ocean Avenue, Pete Mosely returned from his semi-retirement and asked if he could rejoin. Because Mosely had been an integral part of the writing for Ocean Avenue and had been friends with most of the band's members since high school, Lewis was asked to leave and Mosely was reinstated as the bass player.

On October 17, 2007 Pete Mosely announced that he has decided to leave the band, although it's been rumored that he was asked to leave, to pursue other endeavors but noted he continues to support Yellowcard [ [http://yellowcardrock.com/news.aspx#10491 Yellowcard - News ] ] .

This announcement(below) occurred shortly after the release of Yellowcard's album Paper Walls, and during a tour with Blue October.
