Duane West

Duane West

Duane "D" West (b. September 30, 1965 in Newark, New Jersey) is an American motivational speaker, television personality, author, and entrepreneur.

West is best known for his appearances on the daytime talk show "Maury" in which he persuades troubled adolescents and abusive men to change their behavior.

West is also a 1991 graduate of Rutgers University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.

He has a wife whom he married in 1994. Together they have a son who was born in 1996.

In 2007, West hosted a BET program, "Got To Do Better", looking at common social problems faced by African Americans.
