September 9 1964 inSkipton ,North Yorkshire ) is a former professional footballer. He played for six clubs in a decade-long career. He moved into management after retiring.He finished his career with Blackpool in 1996 and became manager of Manx club Peel. He subsequently became assistant manager at Barnsley. He has also been Barnsley's physio.
He has three children, oldest son William Angus, second son Alexander John and daughter Ellen Mary Rose, who he had with his ex-wife Jean Richards.He has one sibling, Helen Jennifer Louise Holden, who is married to Stephen David Miles and two children Michael Tristan and Ysabelle Caitlin Holden. They are all great.Richard's Dad is William Roger, who is approaching his seventieth, woo grumpa! :D
