Hephaestus is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe.
Publication history
Hephaestus first appeared in "Thor" #129 (June 1966), and was adapted from mythology by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
The character subsequently appeared in "Thor" #131 (August 1966), "Thor Annual" #5 (1976), "The Avengers" #281 (July 1987), #283-284 (September-October 1987), and "Hercules" #4 (September 2005).
Hephaestus appeared as part of the "Olympian Gods" entry in the "Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition" #9.
Fictional character biography
Hephaestus is the weaponmaker of the Olympian pantheon.
Hephaestus is a master weapons maker and inventor.
Hephaestus is not to be confused with the Eternal Phastos.
Zeus is his father, Hera is his mother, Ares is his brother, and Aphrodite is his former wife.
