In 1952, the grain mill in the north, which was first opened in 1824 was shut down.
In 1970 the separate municipality of Dahl along with Dahl, Hagen and Rummenohl were incorporated into the city of
Breckerfeld inEnnepe-Ruhr . In 1975, the federal parliament put Dahl into the district-free Großstadt city of Hagen.
