Betekhtin Range (coord|71|54|S|11|32|E|) is a
mountain range about 14 miles (22 km) long, forming the south arm of theHumboldt Mountains inQueen Maud Land . It was discovered and plotted from air photos byGerman Antarctic Expedition , 1938-39; mapped from air photos and surveys byNorwegian Antarctic Expedition , 1956-60; remapped bySoviet Antarctic Expedition , 1960-61, and named after Soviet AcademicianA.G. Betekhtin .
