- Blaiklock Island
Blaiklock Island (coord|67|33|S|67|4|W|) is a high and rugged, irregular-shaped
island 9 miles (14 km) long, lying betweenBigourdan Fjord andBourgeois Fjord . It is separated fromPourquoi Pas Island by The Narrows and from the west coast ofGraham Land byJones Channel . The feature was partially surveyed in 1936 by theBritish Graham Land Expedition (BGLE) underRymill , at which time it was charted as a promontory. It was determined to be an island in 1949 byKenneth V. Blaiklock , aFalkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) surveyor for whom it is named.See also
