Ayo Rosiji

Ayotunde Rosiji was a Nigerian politician, statesman and former Minister for Health and Minister of Information and a lover of music. He was born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on the 24th of February 1917, to the family of an Egba policeman. He attended the Christ Church Primary School, Abeokuta, for primary education and Ibadan Grammar School and the Government College Ibadan for secondary education. He was also educated at the Yaba Higher College, where he received a civil engineering certificate. He then proceeded abroad for a law degree at the University of London, after working at Shell as an engineer. He returned to Nigeria and was one of the founding members of the Action Group. Chief Rosiji died on the 31st of July 2000.
