electronics company based inWest Chester, Pennsylvania which was a vital player in the home/personal computer field in the 1980s. The company is also known under the name of itsR&D operation, Commodore Business Machines (CBM). Commodore developed and marketed the world's best-selling desktop computer, theCommodore 64 (1982). The company declaredbankruptcy in 1994, and computer production under the Commodore brand ceased in 1997, but since then, there have been several attempts to revive itsAmiga systems. C-Kin is the name used by Commodore Gaming for its design of individual PC cases. The company has a library of around 250 designs that consumers can have printed on the case of their machine. Eventually it hopes to encourage customers, artists and others to submit designs which can be changed by the consumer at any time. A spokesman for the company said there would likely be limited edition machines to go with new launches of games.
