Jimmie Sims Jones (born January 9, 1966 in Lakeland, Florida) is a former professional American football player who played defensive tackle for eight seasons for the Dallas Cowboys, the Los Angeles Rams, the St. Louis Rams, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He played in 121 games and had 32 sacks. As a rookie in 1990 Jones played 16 games starting 6 and recorded 7.5 sacks. In four years with the Cowboys he played 65 games, started 16 and recorded 19 sacks.

Rams

The Rams signed Jones on March 4, 1994, to a four-year contract for $7.7 million, including a $2 signing bonus. [Los Angeles Times, March 4, 1994] In 1994 played in 14 games (starting all) and recorded 5 sacks. In 1995 Jones started 16 games at left defensive tackle an did not record a sack. Eagles

On July 23, 1997, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Jones to a one-year contract. [Dallas Morning News, July 23, 1997] In 1997 Jones played 14 games, recorded 7 tackles and 2.5 sacks, coming in on passing downs, a role he played while in Dallas.
