Galo

Galo is a language spoken in various dialects by around 30 to 40 thousand people, mainly in the West Siang district of central Arunachal Pradesh. See Adi-Gallo. [http://www.latrobe.edu.au/rclt/StaffPages/post.htm]

Galo is also the name of the tribe speaking that language. They number about 150,000.

Galo is Portuguese for rooster, and is the nickname for several Brazilian football teams, notably Clube Atlético Mineiro.

Galo is the nickname for "Galo da Madrugada", the biggest carnival parade in the world, considering the number of participants, according "The Guinness Book of World Records", that happens every carnival saturday, in downtown Recife, the state capital of Pernambuco, Brazil. Galo or Galo "MAKE" Canote is a well known and respected graffiti artist. Most commonly known as MakeOne of the Second To None (STN) graffiti crew. Galo/Make is also the graffiti artist Time as featured in the book Spray Can Art by Henry Chalfant and James Prigoff. Galo/Make is considered to be one of the pioneers of the graffiti art movement in Los Angeles. Galo was also recently featured in the book The History of Graffiti Art Los Angeles by Robert Alvar and Robert Reiling.
