Able bodied passenger

Able bodied passengers (or ABP) are aircraft passengers who are typically traveling alone or as couples, have no children or other relatives traveling with them, are fit and healthy, and speak the language used by the flight attendants. They are used in any crash scenario where there is enough time available for flight attendants to brief them on the operation of emergency exits, life rafts, and what will be expected of them after a crash.
