- John Cavanaugh (sculptor)
John William Cavanaugh, (born 20 September 1921 in Sycamore, Ohio, died 9 January 1985 in Washington DC) was a sculptor. He worked primarily in lead, which metal is believed to have led to his death from a disease of the lungs.
His works have been shown at the National Sculpture Center in New York and at the National Arts Club in Washington DC. Some of Cavanaugh's pieces have also been presented to the Presidents of Egypt and France by President Clinton.
