- The Brothers Wing
The Brothers Wing was a
reggae group formed in early1987 . They played their first gig at University of Florida's Battle of the Bands, and after flamboyantly parading around the stage with their up-tempo music and covers of Bob Marley's "Jammin'" and "Get Up Stand Up", won first place. After a stint in bars and frat parties, they produced their own EP "The Brothers Wing in Babylon". The 4 songs were entitled: "No Toys for Ja," "Runnin' Ja Blues," "Fire on Ja Mountain," and "Where's Ben?" The EP sold in a few local campus stores. After gaining some popularity, they released their first album, "Listen to Ja Mountain " in1990 . Soon after, the bands front man, Ben Wing went on to start his own record label. John Wing and Nate Wing continued to play local clubs before they moved toKingston, Jamaica in1994 where they opened a bar "The Paradise Club" and have built a very large fanbase amongst the locals. They are working on their first studio album since "Listen to Ja Mountain " it is set to be released in early 2010. They are scheduled to tour around the U.S. to promote their new release.Band members
