Southern Lord Records

Southern Lord is an American record label, founded in 1998 by Greg Anderson and Stephen O'Malley, specializing in doom, sludge, drone and experimental metal. In recent years, the label has expanded their repertoire to include projects from the more abstract side of the black metal genre, including releases by Twilight, Lurker of Chalice, Wolves in the Throne Room, Craft, Nortt, and Striborg. Stephen O'Malley creates roughly 90% of the label's artwork.Fact|date=July 2007 The label recently came under fire from fans of Boris over the sound quality and promised "bonus track" of the American version of the "Smile" LP.
