It is located 60 KM from Visakhapatnam. A nice Hub for paddy fields and sugar cane.This town has 4 cinemas. 2 govt colleges are situated in this town. town is a cosmopolitan culture because it is near to Vizag City. Economy is agri based and sugar cane is the main product. Paddy also exists. Surrounding villages get all the government works in this town.The nearest village is reguplaem. The festivals like Sankranthi,Deepawali,Dasara,Christmas,Ramzan ,Bakrid , Peerula Panduga ,Gyarmai will celebrated with great dedication & in joyfull manner , Maggi Gyramma panduga is celebrated in a neary by Maggi Gyramma temple lots of people come from differet surrounding villages to be a part of this fest.
