The Death of Sleep

The Death of Sleep

"The Death of Sleep" (1990, Baen Books, ISBN 0-671-69884-2) is the second volume of the Planet Pirates Series by Anne McCaffrey and co-author Jody Lynn Nye. As with the first book in the series, The Death of Sleep is written in four parts. Each book centers on a new stage in the life of Sassinak's much removed relative, Dr. Lunzie Mespil. Lunzie is the victim of an over-extended period of cold sleep and as such, finds herself thrown into a time different from her own. Throughout her various experiences, Lunzie teams up with a changing cast of characters in order to bring down the planet pirates that plague the outer reaches of space.
