Unwin Sowter (
April 22 ,1839 —April 14 ,1910 ) was an Englishcricket er. He was a right-handed batsman. He was born and died inDerby .Sowter took part in the very first match Derbyshire played as a County Cricket team, a match against Lancashire which stands as the second-lowest total scored against Derbyshire in first-class cricket. Sowter took part in six further fixtures between 1871 and 1876, before giving up the game.
Sowter was an upper-middle order batsman who held a county-best score of 47 not out. Sowter died at the age of 70.
