University Stadium is located in the city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and is used for multiple sports - predominantly Football and Cricket matches. The stadium is part of University of Kerala campus and was built in 1952. The stadium is used as the home ground for the Indian domestic cricket team - Kerala till the late 1980s. The stadium has hosted 2 ODI matches with the host team - India losing one match and the other match yielded no result.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi is currently the stadium preferred for International Matches in the state of Kerala though the Kerala Cricket Association has plans to build a new stadium in the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram itself.
