Lakeview Tech Academy is one of the choice schools of KUSD(Kenosha Unified School District). It is an small school that emphasizes engineering and technology. Lakeview is broken down into a few main 'tracks'. Each track is a series of courses throught high school to help give you skills in a specific career field. These 'tracks' are Engineering, Information Technologies, Automated Manufacturing, and Aviation. At this school, students are allowed to take many college credit classes from teachers from Gateway Technical College.

Demographics

Currently, Lakeview is suffering from a problem of lack of diversity. A majority of the students that choose to attend Lakeview are white males. The school is working hard to try and recruit more females and minorities to attend the school.

Clubs

Dodgeball

Lakeview has a dodgeball club where students and staff get together and go play dodgeball in teams at the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex.

Bowling

Lakeview also has a bowling club in which students bowl with staff to enjoy themselves after school.

FIRST Robotics

Lakeview also has a FIRST Robotics club. This club is team #1652 Lakeview Legends. During the 2008 competition, They were known as the Robot Mafia. There has been controversy with the superintendent of schools over this name. He believes that this name is offensive to Italians. In the 2008 competition, their alliance came in second place after a close loss in the finals due to mechanical failure.
