Ammonite subclass. It was formally placed in this genus during the year 1969 bypaleontologist sRuzhencev andBogoslovskaya . Like all cephalopods, "Asturoceras" was a marinepredator . Unlike some Ammonites who were sedentary bottom dwellers, "Asturoceras" swam actively of its own accord.
