Equality colony

Equality colony

Equality colony was a U.S. commune in the area between Blanchard, Washington and Bow, Washington [ [http://www.skagitvalleydirectory.com/history.html "Alger History"] ] "ca." 1897-1907. Its founding was heavily influenced by Edward Bellamy's book "Looking Backward. "The colony was self sustaining, relying heavily on agriculture and fishing for sustenance.
