She sings in the ijekavian form of the Serbo-Croatian language.
Her surname Ukraden, roughly translated in Serbo-Croatian means stolen (masculine adjective), however her ancestors were originally from Montenegro and their original surname was Pavlović.[citation needed]

Early life
She grew up in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, but she also lived in a few other Bosnian cities, mainly because of her father's professional commitments. Respecting the wishes of her father, she attended University of Sarajevo where she successfully acquired degrees in Law and Philology, English language. It was only at the age of 18 that she started singing.
Hobbies
Some of her favorite activities include the daily running of her restaurant, Star.
Highlights
Spanning her entire career, she has recorded over 25 albums to date, yet still considers that raising her daughter Jelena is her biggest success. She was married to Milan Bilbija. Milan is the father of Jelena.
Her latest album Da se nadjemo na pola puta (rough translation: Let's meet halfway) was released on December 30, 2009.
