Gunnlaugur Helgason

Gunnlaugur Helgason (also known as Gulli Helga) (born July 26, 1963) is an Icelandic television analyst for Good Morning Iceland on the Icelandic TV station NFS.

He is best known for his work on the radio station; Bylgjan. On the side he is also a carpenter and has brought his work into the media with the hit television series "Gulli Byggir".

Early life

Gunnlaugur was born in the Fossvog area of Reykjavík in 1963 to Elísabet Gunnlaugsdóttir and Helgi Halldórson. As a student he attended school at Réttarholtsskóla and then went on to study carpentry.

Life in the United States

In the early 1990´s Gunnlaugur Helgason moved to the United States with his wife, Íris Erlingsdóttir and his son, Helgi Steinar Gunnlaugsson. There they lived in San Diego for four years and then moved to Los Angeles where Gunnlaugur began to study at one of the Acting Universities.
