Pedalanka is a small
village that belongs toRepalle Taluq inGuntur district inAndhra Pradesh ,India . It is chiefly an agriculture-based society.The main crops grown are banana,sugar cane , andred chili . In the 1970s,mangoes were mainly grown, but they were later replaced by sugar cane. In the 1940s and 1950s Pedalanka had just ashiva temple and aprimary school (which was initially anelementary school ). The school had up to 8 grades and anybody who graduated could start teaching.There was an episode offlash flood ing in the 1950s from theKrishna River that was adjacent to the village. Many people lost their land and crop. Consequently more than half the village emigrated.Temples in Pedalanka: Pedalanka had the following temples.(1)Prudhveeswara Swamy Temple(Shiva Temple)(2)Rama Temple(3)Naagendra Swamy Temple(4)Pothu Raju Temple('Pothu Raju' is believed to be the Village deity/god who protects the village from the evil forces)
