Taipei Underground Market

Taipei Underground Market (台北地下街), located in Taipei City, Taiwan, is one of the most popular underground markets in Taipei City. It is under the Civic Boulevard (市民大道). It is one of the attractions for tourists in Taipei City.

It is about 825 meters long, and has 27 exits/entrances. It is connected with the Taipei Main Station of the Taipei Metro, the Taipei Station of the Taiwan Railway Administration, and the Shin Kong Life Tower. There are a total of 187 shops in the market.

History

* 1992-The Taipei City government decided to demolish the Chunghwa Market (中華商場).
* 2000-The Taipei Underground Market was opened.
