Iceland , as well as the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts inSkopelos ,Greece . In June 2006, she returned to Greece where she was Artist in Residence at theApothiki Art Centre on the island ofParos , where her work will be exhibited in a solo exhibition in 2007. She will also be an invited Fellow at theBau Institute inItaly in 2007 and Artist in Residence in Vallauris, France in 2008.Johannesson has exhibited her work extensively in Canada as well as in Greece, England, India, Iceland, Argentina, Japan, Chile, France, Italy, and the United States. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and her work is included in many prestigious public, private, and coorporate collections. Laurel Johannesson is currently Head of the Drawing Program at the
Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary.
