Cathal Lordan

Cathal Lordan

Cathal Lordan (born 23 March 1987 in Cork) is an Irish midfielder, currently without a club.

Cathal signed for City in May 2006, and is the younger brother of Cork City defender Cillian Lordan. Before joining City, Cathal was previously cross-channel at Ipswich Town F.C. after joining from local Irish side Ballincollig and was a member of Ipswich's 2004-2005 F.A. Youth Cup winning team, scoring both goals in the first leg of the final against Southampton F.C.'s academy. However he never made an appearance for the Ipswich first team. Lordan has represented the Irish national side from under 13-18 level.

In July 2007, Lordan joined Cork City rivals Waterford United on loan. He was released by Cork at the end of the 2007 season and is currently a substitute for Munster Senior League Premier side Blarney FC.
