Rushton Seraphim is a major character in

Ashling when Freya, an empath-enhancer, tries to enhance his abilities.At the end of Ashling he becomes betrothed to
Elspeth Gordie , Farseeker guildmistress and powerful farseeker-coercer-beastspeaker. She enhances his abilities further than anyone else could.In
The Keeping Place , Rushton is kidnapped by mysterious persons, later believed to be the Herder Faction, who for unknown reasons insist that the Misfits aid the rebels in the rebellion against the Council.
