The M84 is a general purpose machine gun manufactured by Zastava Arms of Kragujevac, Republic of Serbia. The M84 is based on the Russian Kalashnikov PK series. Overview

The M84 chambers and fires the 7.62 x 54 mm R round. It is gas-operated, air-cooled, belt-fed, fully automatic firearm.

History and Variants

Zastava Arms produces two versions of the machine gun. The standard M84 is intended for infantry use, and is derived from the Russian PK machine gun. It includes a stock and bipod, and is also configured for tripod mounting. The M86 variant is based on the PKT, and is designed to mount on tanks and other combat vehicles.
