Findory.com was a news and blog aggregation website that utilized collaborative filtering to provide users with personalized newsfeeds and news e-mails. Findory collected a history of which articles a user clicked, a form of passive filtering, to recommend articles preferred by similar users [http://findory.com/help/personalization] . Along with news and blogs, While it existed, Findory provided personalized podcasts and video, personalized web search, and a variety of access methods, including a REST API, e-mail subscription, and mobile phone access.

Findory was founded in 2004 by Amazon.com alumnus Greg Linden [http://www2.blogger.com/profile/09216403000599463072] . In January 2007, Linden announced that he would be abandoning new work on Findory, and that he planned to shut it down. [http://glinden.blogspot.com/2007/09/findory-to-shut-down-november-1.html] Although the announced November 1, 2007 termination date was briefly postponed, the service ultimately ceased on November 24, 2007.
