Lens Culture

Lens Culture is a popular, subscription-free, online magazine of international contemporary photography. It features the work of contemporary photographers from all continents and all genres of photography. The magazine contains photo book reviews, essays, analysis and criticism about contemporary photography and culture. It also has an extensive archive of audio interviews with photograpers.

Lens Culture has been online since 2004, and is edited by Jim Casper, who is also a director of San Francisco's PhotoAlliance, a non-profit educational organization. Lens Culture reviews contemporary photography at several international photography festivals, including Photolucida; the Photo Biennale in Thessaloniki, Greece; Rhubarb-Rhubarb in Birmingham, UK; Month of Photography in Bratislava, Slovakia, FotoBild Berlin, Paris Photo, Photo London, Rencontres d'Arles, and other international photographic events.

Lens Culture Editions

In January 2008, Lens Culture launched Lens Culture Editions, an online store selling exclusive, high-quality prints of a selection of photos, each signed by the artist. Prints are produced in limited runs, and buyers are entitled to a maximum of three purchases per print, per person. Launch prints include work by photographers Myoung Ho Lee, Lauren E. Simonutti, and Oyvind Hjelmen.
