Telehouse Europe is a major carrier neutral
colocation provider based in Docklands, London. It operates five facilities spread between London and Paris, which combined provide 45,000 square metres ofdata centre services.Established in 1988 and operational since 1990, Telehouse North became Europe’s first purpose-built neutral colocation facility. Today, it is considered to be the main hub of the Internet in the UK. A second building at the Docklands site, Telehouse East, was opened in 1999. In 1997, an additional colocation facility, Telehouse Metro, was opened in the City of London.
Its sister company, Telehouse America, has colocation facilities in New York, Los Angeles and Santa Clara, California.
KDDI , Telehouse’s Japanese parent company, operates data centre facilities in America and Asia. KDDI is a US$27.8 billion, Global 300-listed company.
Accreditations
As of 2006, Telehouse has ISO/IEC 27001:2005 (Information Security) and ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management) accreditations across all of its sites in London and Paris.
