Martial intelligence

Martial intelligence

Martial intelligence is a term coined by Leo Imamura in reference to a human development process and it is closely related to Moy Yat Ving Tsun.

Ving Tsun is a Chinese system of "strategic intelligence" [Jullien, F. (2004). "A Treatise on Efficacy: Between Western and Chinese Thinking" , Hawaii: University of Hawaii Press. ISBN 0824828305. Although the author does not especifically uses the term "strategic intelligence" exactly as cited in this article, the author explains how those words are related (see page 2 of that edition).] whose elaboration is credited to Yim Ving Tsun, whereas strategic intelligence is the ability to exploit the potential of transformation of a situation by acting on the conditioning factors of an effect.

In its simplest definition, it's said that martial intelligence is employed when there's human development through the use of strategic intelligence during a martial experience (such as in a combat).
