Keith Manly

Keith E. Manly is a Boulder, Colorado, USA, based director, producer and writer for film productions. He has over 20 years of film production experience, including national commercial spots, corporate image, educational programs, and the new genre of Fast Action Videos. Mr. Manly has won a wide variety of awards including Telly's and Cleo's.

Manly graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1982 with a major in Film and the University of Colorado in 1993, having majored in Communications. [http://www.myspace.com/keithmanly]

Mr. Manly produced and directed the 1998 feature film comedy "Boulderdaze", produced in Boulder, Colorado and distributed by Blockbuster Video.

He is a considered a pioneer in Internet entertainment video for his nationally syndicated video series "Net Time Theater" carried in the on-line versions of major metro newspapers from 2000 to 2002.

Mr. Manly produced, directed, and wrote "Evolution - Why Bother?" (2006), an award winning, highly reviewed educational program exploring evolution in our daily lives. It is being used in dozens of universities and hundreds of high schools and middle schools as core curriculum. This program is a recommended purchase by the School Library Journal. This program is co-produced and endorsed by the American Institute of Biological Science (AIBS) and the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT.) This program is endorsed by the National Science Foundation

He also produced, directed, and wrote "Geology - Why Bother?" (2005), an award winning, highly reviewed program exploring geology in our daily lives. It is being used in dozens of universities and hundreds of high schools and middle schools as core curriculum. This program is a recommended purchase by the American Library Association in Booklist. It is endorsed by the National Association of Geology Teachers (NAGT) and carried by the Geological Society of America and other geo-science organizations.

Mr. Manly is the founder and president of "Fast Action Videos", a monthly webzine and dvdzine of short action and horror videos produced by regional film groups.

Mr. Manly specializes in small crew, location based, narrative production.
