Tajikistan .However, Shabnam was little known until her popularity rose dramatically in 2006, when one of her songs was ranked #1 in
Tajikistan . Following this success, Shabnam hit international stardom and is now recognized amongst Persians and Persian-speakers around the globe.Most notably, she is popular in
Afghanistan , because she works with Tajik singers from that country and sometimes also cover songs from them either with them together or with their permission (f.ex. her duets with Jonibeck, Jawid Sharif or Najib Nawabi)Shabnam also collaborated with the Tajik singer
Jawid Sharif , creating a duet "Ey Khuda". In addition, Shabnam has also performed duets with Tajik singers, including Bahrom, Suhrobi Safarzod, Parvina Shukrulloeva, Jonibek and others from her own country Tajikistan.
